Pepper57 Posted November 23, Posted November 23, But I use to be able to download, but now one site doesn't have the download links and now says " To download this torrent, you need a BitTorrent client: Bitlord " And then the other site I use, lets me hit the download link but then says "Unable to add Torrent: It appears that the torrent file is corrupted.
Can anyone help me out here? I haven't changed a thing aside from updating to Yosemite. I'm not sure how that program works? Sorry, but would you be able to explain? Just try downloading them. If they download, it's the problem I think it is. Pepper57 Posted November 24, Posted November 24, Harold Feit Posted November 24, Pepper57 Posted November 25, Posted November 25, I've done that too, and even tried two different programs and it's doing the same thing :S.
Bodden Posted November 25, Also, I have tried 3 different torrents on 3 different sites. But still nothing happens. But there is no. If utorrent is not listed browse for the uTorrent. Make sure you have the check box checked that states "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file. This will make sure the file type association is always setup for uTorrent.
I've been into properties and browsed for uTorrent. It apeears as uTorrent. The window just closes and the only options I can select from are Explorer, Adobe, Word and a few other useless ones Did you bother to read my last? I never said anything about the properties of a file. Did you bother to go into uTorrent perferences and check the box?
Did you then stop utorrent? Remember the check box uTorrent preferences said "at startup". Since uTorrent is already running - nothing is going to happen until you stop uTorrent and start uTorrent again.
I thought that would be self-explainatory when you saw the words "at Startup". Either method I have you above should correct your file type associations. I don't know what I did but it my problem seems to be fixed now. Thanks for you help. When uTorrent displays Seeds and Peers while a torrent is downloading what do the numbers in brackets mean?
NOTE: I understand the difference between seeds and peers and their roles.
